Destiny 2 is on both PC and Console and they recently just enabled cross-salvage. The capability is at that place information technology'due south simply on the Devs to enable it or non.

Easier to exercise with online connected games since that information would be stored server side but with non-continued offline games like Outer Worlds information technology would require a lot more work.

I remember cross save works only for Xbox Play Anywhere titles.

It should only be available to Xbox Play Anywhere games. PC and Console games are different versions. You may suggest or provide feedback to the game developers.

I would recall this should be standard on games that are on both and cross play. Just makes sense simply that'southward for the devs

Information technology depends on the developer/game. Some of the games only sync, the others does not. Just like games on Android and iOS. Some requires Login accounts or requests to be transferred or synced.

It depends. Ultimately, it is up to the developers, but we as players, can likewise make a decision. I recall it would exist too disruptive, and data would be lost if that e'er became a matter. :)
